Michelle Minguez has over 25 years of expertise, specializing in business development, strategic partnerships, marketing, production, and social impact campaigns. Her career reflects a deep commitment to advancing economic opportunities and social equity, particularly for underserved communities. As the founder of M&M Strategies Consulting, a certified women-owned firm based in New York, she leads significant projects for city agencies, corporations, and non-profit organizations. Most recently, the firm led programming and strategic partnerships for the largest open streets event in New York City- Summer Streets and Car Free Earth Day, as well as the inaugural Latinos in Times Square events celebrating culture.
Ms Minguez is passionate about fostering economic empowerment, especially within the Latino community. As the Executive Director of the Latino Economic Empowerment and Development (LEEAD) organization, she advocates for the prosperity of Latino-owned businesses, providing resources and opportunities to help them grow and scale. Through her role at LEEAD, she is committed to helping Latino entrepreneurs build generational wealth, and creating long-lasting economic impact for the community.
Her leadership extends to co-founding Soze, a creative agency driving cultural and social movements. She played a pivotal role in the company’s engagements of the production of the Women’s March in Washington, the March For Our Lives global campaign, as well as national initiatives such as HARNESS founded by American Ferrera and We Vote Next project with Yara Shahidi, focusing on youth civic engagement and voter participation.
Her extensive career also includes executive roles at Voto Latino, a national organization that empowers young Latinos through civic engagement, and the Ibarra Strategy Group, a leading government affairs consulting firm. She was also the founding Executive Director of the Latino Leaders Network, a national organization dedicated to bringing leaders together to elevate the success stories and contributions of the Latino community to our social fabric.
Her expertise extends to policy analysis and research, having served as a researcher for various national projects and institutions, and policy analysts for federal agencies including the United States Department of Labor. Throughout her career, Ms Minguez has consistently demonstrated a passion for creating positive change, advocating for the Latino communities, and building platforms that empower individuals and organizations to thrive.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Boston University, a Master’s in Public Policy from American University, and a Master’s degree in Education Administration and Social Policy from Harvard University.
